A longtime Canadian reader writes to say that “your recent column ’Surrender in Geneva’ I find to be flaccid.” He says:

Israel should have attacked Iran two years ago. That failing, it should have attacked Iran one year ago. That failing, it should have attacked Iran three months ago. That failing, it should have attacked Iran yesterday.

It is most distressing to see Binyamin Netanyahu, a genuine hero, once a brave man, lose his nerve.

The prime minister analyzes the situation more clearly than anybody else. But, if you want to prevent the most destabilizing shift in the regional balance of power since the invention of the modern Middle East in 1922, somebody has to act.
