Team America si, Captain America, no?

I skipped the GI Joe movie a couple years ago when I heard that the heroes weren’t American GI’s but some kind of international force, like U.N. blue-helmets only with more testosterone. If this account from Bryan Robinson is correct, the new Captain America movie is also going to eschew American exceptionalism. Hollywood will say this is necessary to market movies overseas, but it is rather convenient for their America-hating ideology. Isn’t it about time we had a sequel to Team America: World Police?
