I know this is counting chickens before they hatch and all that, but National Journal has a look at who might be in a Romney cabinet. I’m in no position to judge the relative merits of most of those mentioned, though I like the sound of Attorney General Bob McDonnell, HHS Secretary Bobby Jindal, and Education Secretary Tim Pawlenty.
Kris Kobach for homeland-security secretary sounds good too. But one named mentioned that might be politically savvy but be terrible for immigration enforcement would be Joe Lieberman, who has a career grade of F on immigration. Better to make him ambassador to Egypt and see what the jihadi government thinks of that.
