Tedisco vs. Murphy

I returned to Washington last night from upstate New York, where a congressional special election takes place tomorrow. The race is very close, and the local television in the Hudson Valley is saturated with ads — including the cable slots.

(Can anyone tell me why the NRCC is advertising on MSNBC on the local Poughkeepsie cable station? A spokesman tells me he does not know, but he suspects it might have been part of a larger cable buy. It certainly struck me as odd — the ad ran on Saturday morning.)

My broad take: The Republicans are worried. The Democrats are confident. But neither is really sure what’s going to happen tomorrow. More here.
