Pollster Kellyanne Conway reacts to NRO this morning: “I think he fears a Senate ethics investigation by a GOP-controlled Senate if he remains.”
But that’s almost a secondary concern — if he remains is a big if. Conway adds: “There is the obvious concern of whether he could remain. . . . He really embarrassed himself by moving his young family to Iowa in exchange for a handful of votes. Being a Friend of Angelo while clamping down on others’ Wall Street bonuses can’t over well in Connecticut.”
