NR Webathon

Thank You for Helping Us Fight the Insanity

In my text and email threads with conservative friends and family these days, one of the common refrains is something along the lines of, “Did you see this? This is insane.” Typically, such a message is accompanied by the link to a story that would have been hard to believe was real just a few years ago. In a world in which schools are instructing five year olds in gender identity, the truth is becoming more absurd than satire.

That’s why it’s heartening that over the course of the current webathon, readers have chosen to support National Review’s quest to provide a forum for those willing to call reality as it is, and specifically to rally behind the important work of Maddy Kearns in defending the very nature of womanhood against those who argue that gender is just another choice.

One reader who contributed $100 writes, “Kearns is a superb journalist. NR is the best institution for truth in reporting and analysis. Keep up the fine work.”

Scott contributed $1,000 and writes, “Keep standing athwart!”

Reader James, who donated $50, wrote in to say, “Many thanks for the Editorial wisdom to let a self proclaimed woman and talented journalist like Ms. Kearns run with this topic.”

Thanks to all of you for your generous support. And James, speaking as an editor, when you have somebody as talented and fearless as Maddy writing for you, and the backing of an organization that has a commitment to writing the truth, it makes for an easy choice.

But it also costs money to employ the best of the best. So if you would like to support our efforts to preserve an institution that is dedicated to being a refuge for sanity, please consider donating whatever is within your budget.

Thanks again for being loyal readers.
