Senator Sessions did a commendable job making the case against the Gang of Eight bill these last several weeks. When cant and political panic seemed to rule the day, he was substantive and serious. He couldn’t stop the bill in the Senate, but he identified many vulnerabilities that – let’s hope — will make killing it in the House easier.
