It’s going to be very bad for the country and good politically — at least in the short term and perhaps for the duration — for Donald J. Trump. It’d be one thing if there were an open and shut case against Trump on a serious matter, but the case involves a payment to a porn star and is so flimsy that it seemed not too long ago to have been abandoned.
Of course, Trump is going to do everything he can to inflame the situation. But we shouldn’t be here in the first place. Alvin Bragg is an arsonist and should be ashamed of himself.
