The left never stops pushing its ruinous views. Anywhere it can use education to indoctrinate students, it will.
In today’s Martin Center article, two grad students in social work, Arnold Cantú and Nathan Gallo, explain that many schools of social work have been captured by leftist ideology.
They write:
When we initially compared notes in fall 2023, we believed the faculty’s imposition of “non-negotiable” progressively tilted values and pressure to support “anti-racist” research and practice were limited to our program at CSU. Hence a recent Office for Civil Rights complaint against CSU’s School of Social Work filed by FAIR For All that exposed the program’s ideological intolerance and brought to light race- and gender-based discrimination by two professors against white and male students. But after spending several weeks investigating the national landscape within social work, we discovered that indoctrination goes far beyond one public university’s social work program.
Cantú and Gallo point out that accreditation is the main villain here. The bodies that accredit social work programs are under the control of “progressives” and require that all social work schools teach the usual DEI drivel about the causes of America’s problems.
Ideologically slanted teaching in social work programs is apt to distract students from obtaining the knowledge they need to help patients.
