I think the reason Democrats are talking so much about how somber they are, Jim, is that if they all acted the way Rashida Tlaib had Republicans would all be carrying on about it. They want to keep us from having that talking point. Saying “they’re putting on a show of taking this seriously” is not as strong a criticism, and so they prefer exposing themselves to it.
