Amidst the hoopla of today’s inauguration, there was one very conspicuous omission from Donald Trump’s inaugural address: the unborn. The battle against abortion was largely overlooked, except by the various churchmen who offered benedictions (good for them). We’ll have a better idea of exactly how overlooked once we see the full roster of executive orders that commence Trump’s second term, some of which one would expect to include revocations of pro-abortion Biden policies. But in this context, Friday’s March for Life may be one of the most important ones in years in terms of reminding the leadership of the pro-life party that pro-life voters remain an important part of their coalition.
