The Washington Post’s Pro-Abortion Activism

The Washington Post reports that even as “Roe v. Wade repeal looms, video game industry stays mostly silent.”

In a healthy journalistic environment, this headline would, at best, be treated as a non sequitur by an editor. (The piece itself is also extraordinarily ridiculous and highly misleading: No, Mississippi, Florida, and Texas have not “functionally” banned abortion.) But the political media have largely become an activist group. What other reason would a journalist have for contacting 20 major video-game companies and asking them for statements on a pending SCOTUS decision that has absolutely nothing to do with their expertise? I can’t recall any major newspaper asking furniture makers or skateboard manufacturers what they thought about Heller. Nor should they have.
