The Way to Peace and Transformation: Talking Tomorrow about the Camino Pilgrimage

Santiago: The Camino Within is a film that will have a one-day-only event release in theaters next Tuesday. It’s about the Camino pilgrimage in Spain, to venerate the earthly remains of St. James — well, and so much more. Tomorrow I will be interviewing the narrator of the film, Catholic Bishop Donald Hying of Madison, Wisc., along with three bishops who recently walked the Camino together. I watched via Bishop Conley’s Facebook posts as they went along the route and am excited to get to ask the bishops more about their time together. And why it’s important for non-bishops, too, to take time for retreats.

This is obviously of interest to Christians during the Lenten season, on the road to Easter. But I suspect anyone in need of a time-out, seeking a little peace, or curious why people would spend vacation time walking this route will be grateful for the time listening in on the conversation and ultimately seeing the movie.

The conversation is cosponsored by the National Review Institute and my friends at the Napa Institute.

Please RSVP here for the 4:05 EST virtual event here. The video will be available immediately after on the National Review Institute’s YouTube channel, but it’s always wonderful when you can join live and have a real sense of community.
