There Is The Italian Thing and There Is The Mother Thing

Could the press please have the decency to leave Alito’s 90-year-old mother alone? Whatever she says about his personal beliefs–whether her beliefs about his beliefes or facts about his beliefs–are not indicative of his judicial philosophy. Unless DiFi & co. wants to block pro-lifers, period. (And anyone with a loving Catholic mom?) As Jon Adler points out in the WSJ today, his record is pro-law, that’s the issue.
