There’s Even a British Tea-Party Movement Now

I’m leaving today for Ireland, where I’ll be hosting two training sessions for Irish voters interested in forming their own version of a tea-party movement. Don’t know if it will involve tea — I prefer Bushmill’s — but it’s part of a small but growing tea-party movement in Europe. Britain and Italy have their own movements underway.

What’s interesting is that in America, the tea-party movement is viewed as potentially dangerous, but in Europe, some see it as a non-violent alternative to the sort of political street violence all too common in places like Greece. So in Boston, I’m a troublemaker, but in the EU, I’m a “peace maker!”
