Check out this video of Biden at the border. Nothing bad happens. He doesn’t trip or even take a false step, and he doesn’t wander the wrong way or need obvious stage direction. But it is painful to watch.
Even if Biden is, like in the famous Reagan SNL skit, incredibly energetic and acute behind the scenes, most people are simply not going to feel comfortable with a president who walks this way.
