A Thought on McCain in 2008

One of the things that hard-line conservatives dislike about John McCain is his popularity with the mainstream media. Maybe that’s about to change. What if the media’s favorite conservative Senator-cum-war hero-cum-presidential candidate becomes Chuck Hagel? What if McCain’s refusal to turn on the Iraq war the way Hagel has begins his descent from the media heights and Hagel’s rise to the same heights? Actually, I expect this isn’t a matter of if but a matter of when.
