Three Political Notes on the Oscars (So Far)

1) The host can’t stop stoking racial grievance. Great — exactly what America needs.

2) The idea that women don’t have equal rights in this country is a lie — a lie that, year after year, does harm.

3) Harry Belafonte is the opposite of a humanitarian: the loyal supporter of one of the most brutal dictatorships of our times, the Castro regime in Cuba, which has imprisoned, tortured, and killed thousands of innocent people.
