The rollout has caused some Democrats to push for a delay in Obamacare enrollment and there may be others willing to join them, according to Senator John Thune (R., S.D.).
“I do think that you’re going to see more Democrats coming to the view that we ought to delay this,” he said on Morning Joe on Thursday. “I just think the way that this was rolled out, the rhetoric around it, the whole narrative now is completely being undermined, and I think that’s a really problem for the administration.”
Thune also said the rocky Healthcare.gov rollout has allowed Republicans to go back on offense after the party took some hits during the government shutdown. “We’re just all very grateful to the Democrats and the president, now that the shutdown is over, we’re now talking about something else,” he said.
