It’s really striking how, when given a direct question about contradictions between his faith and his political principles, Kaine cites the death penalty (which he opposes, but had to execute as Virginia Governor). Pence correctly zeroed in on the silence of Kaine about even the slightest pang of conscience about supporting abortion at all times and with public funds. Naturally, Kaine had to hide behind the pro-abortion Trump’s ham-handed impersonation of a pro-lifer for cover.
