Senator Tim Scott wouldn’t say whether or not he would support his fellow South Carolinian senator Lindsey Graham in next year’s midterm elections, saying that he’s focused on his own special reelection that same year.

“I’m going to make sure that Tim Scott gets out,” he said on CNN’s Crossfire on Wednesday. “I’m going to allow for all the other folks on the ballot to represent themselves very well, but I’m going to work very hard for my election.” When pressed again, Scott reiterated his point, adding that he should focus on winning before looking to other races.

Graham is currently facing four primary challengers. Scott’s special election comes as a result of his appointment earlier this year following former senator Jim DeMint’s departure.
