The Corner

Tonight

I agree entirely with what Bill Kristol said on Fox News Sunday yesterday: Romney should make tonight, to the extent possible, more about himself and his policies than about the president and his policies. He should make the case against President Obama as warranted, but he doesn’t need to go into badgering prosecutorial mode (when he’s never at his best anyway). He is something more than just a challenger now. He is an increasingly plausible president and his job tonight, more than anything else, is to build on that sense.
