The White House has just sent out its list of guests at tonight’s state dinner in honor of Queen Elizabeth II. There are lots of the usual suspects, plus a few surprises.
Hey — how about Elisabeth Hasselbeck of “The View?” She’s on the list. And how about Peyton Manning, the quarterback? Sure. And Jim Nantz, the sportscaster. And Robin Roberts, the former ESPN anchor now with ABC. And, keeping up the sports thing, there’s Arnold Palmer. And Calvin Borel, the jockey who won the Kentucky Derby Saturday
The only journalists on the list are Richard Wolffe of Newsweek, Steve Holland of Reuters, and Tony Snow’s occasional sparring partner, David Gregory of NBC News.
