Excerpts from the president’s speech that have been released give me the impression he’s not going to win over anyone on the right he’s lost on Iraq. Unless he confesses to being an emperor, who on the Left will warm up to him I exaggerate…a little)? An example: “Our actions, too, are guided by a vision. We believe that freedom

can advance and change lives in the Greater Middle East, as it has advanced

and changed lives in Asia, and Latin America, and Eastern Europe, and

Africa?”

I dunno. Maybe the five steps will work. Oremus.
