On that post about my interview with Hugh Hewitt, there’s a small mistake in the transcript. Toward the end, I said that the feminist lecture series “should have” had some speakers from another point of view. The transcript mistakenly puts “sort of” instead of “should have.” My point was that, Miers ought to have used her obvious pull with her feminist friends to get some speakers from a conservative point of view. The fact that she did not is telling. It doesn’t mean that Miers is a Gloria Steinem clone. But it does fit the picture of Miers as a “go along” sort of person who tries not to make political waves with her liberal feminist friends. Of course, today’s Washington Post piece fits into this picture all too well.
