In the Trenches With the Obamacare Army

My piece in this weekend’s Wall Street Journal recounts my two-day visit with Obamacare navigators in Durham, N.C., earlier this month. For reasons I explain in the piece, Durham is precisely the sort of place one would expect to benefit from a program like Obamacare. Yet one navigator I spoke with says he has vacant slots on his calendar; others have stopped waiting for consumers to come to them and are heading into churches, grocery stores, barbershops, and community centers, preaching the Obamacare gospel and urging Americans to enroll on the federal exchange.

With an increasing number of people seeking assistance with the sign-up process, this government-funded army of Obamacare proselytizers will prove crucial to the law’s success. Read more about it here
