Trump Endorses Romney

Donald Trump endorsed Mitt Romney today. “Mitt is tough, he’s smart, he’s sharp, he’s not going to allow bad things to continue to happen to this country that we all love,” the real estate mogul said, as Romney looked on.

“There are some things you just can’t imagine in your life. This is one of them,” said Romney of the endorsement.

In an interview on Fox News Channel’s Your World with Neil Cavuto shortly after making the endorsement, Trump cited Romney’s stance on China — he favors punishing them for currency manipulation — as key in his decision to endorse Romney. Asked about Romney’s decision this December to not participate in a debate moderated by him, Trump said, “I think he would have done it had I put some pressure on.”

He also said if Romney was the GOP nominee he would not run himself for president.
