Asked tonight about General Michael Hayden saying the military would refuse to follow illegal orders like the intentional killing of terrorists’ families, Donald Trump said, “They won’t refuse, they’re not going to refuse me — believe me.”
“You look at the Middle East, they’re chopping off heads,” Trump said, before turning to water-boarding. “If we want to go stronger, I’d go stronger, too. Frankly, that’s the way I feel.”
Asked again if he would target families, Trump again cited a debunked 9/11 conspiracy theory: ”The wives knew exactly what was happening. They left two days early with respect to the World Trade Center and they went back to where they went and they watched their husbands on television fly into the World Trade Center, flying into the Pentagon.”
