Trump: Obama Should Release College Transcripts

Donald Trump is now demanding records of another period in President Obama’s life: his college years.

“I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?” Trump told the Associated Press in an interview.

Obama has not released his college transcripts. And Trump thinks there’s something strange about Obama’s academic success.

“I have friends who have smart sons with great marks, great boards, great everything and they can’t get into Harvard,” Trump said.

Trump is also now claiming that Obama’s birth certificate is “missing.”

“I’ve been told very recently … that the birth certificate is missing,” Trump said in a CNN interview yesterday. “I’ve been told that it’s not there or it doesn’t exist. And if that’s the case it’s a big problem.”

Trump would not reveal his sources for that information to CNN.

As a result, not even former president George W. Bush has incurred the degree of hatred from the left that is now directed at Trump. For most of ... Read More

George Packer Gets Mugged by Reality

Few journalists are as respected by, and respectable to, liberals as The Atlantic’s George Packer. The author of The Assassin's Gate (2005), The Unwinding (2013), and a recently published biography of Richard Holbrooke, Our Man, Packer has written for bastions of liberal thought from the New York Times Magazine ... Iran’s Act of War

Last weekend’s drone raid on the Saudi oil fields, along with the Israeli elections, opens a new chapter in Middle Eastern relations. Whether the attack on Saudi oil production, which has temporarily stopped more than half of it, was launched by Iranian-sponsored Yemeni Houthis or by the Iranians themselves is ... Read More
