This is Bruce Tinsley. I do the Mallard Fillmore comic strip. Today’s “truth-to-power” column was great, even for you, and jibes perfectly with my experience; the intimidation, cancellations and death-threats always come after I lampoon somebody that the media routinely describe as “powerless”.
Your column reminded me of one of Mr. Buckley’s from the ’70s, inwhich he said something to the effect that he’d never seen as many open mouths as those on people saying, during the McCarthy era, that everyone was “afraid to open his mouth”….
