Two Good Op-Eds Today

One is no surprise: In the Wall Street Journal, June O’Neill does a characteristically fine job explaining why the Paycheck Fairness Act — still pending in the Senate — is a really bad idea. More surprising is Bob Herbert’s column in the New York Times, in which he declares about remedying socioeconomic disparities: “The first and most important step would be a major effort to begin knitting the black family back together.” He almost sounds like Bill Cosby.
