You’re right about Chad, but slightly off about the state thing. The rules were that the state had to have NO redeeming qualities. Louisiana has (had) New Orleans and the Bayou; Jersey has the Jersey Shore, Cape May, the Pine Barrens. I voted for Oklahoma, but was told that Tulsa was a pretty decent city. The consensus winner for ugliest state was Kansas.
