U.K. Libs Say Britain Has No ‘Special Relationship’ with U.S.

Maybe you’ve seen the story. Maybe these Labour MP gasbags are right. But as they babble on, I hope you don’t mind seeing the two pictures below. The first is of the American Cemetery and Memorial in Cambridge. According to the American Battlefield and Monument Commission, this hallowed place “contains the remains of 3,812 of our military dead; 5,127 names are recorded on the Tablets of the Missing.”

The Brookwood Cemetery and Memorial (pictured below) “contains the graves of 468 of our military dead” while “on the walls within the chapel are inscribed the names of 563 of the missing.”

And let’s not forget that some 8,000 Americans in the Merchant Marines died during World War II, many of them while bringing supplies to Britain. No, nothing “special” about any of that.
