The broadcasters’ joint exit poll is due out just after 5 p.m. EST, but rumors are already circulating that it shows the Conservatives on 39 percent and the other two parties on 28 percent, which is just enough for a Tory majority.
The Spectator’s Fraser Nelson reports that the Conservative HQ is expecting 300 tp 330 seats. They need c.325 for a majority. Fraser thinks they’re deliberately underestimating at this stage.
