U.N. Vs. Syria

UNITED NATIONS, Oct 31 (Reuters) – The U.N. Security

Council adopted a resolution on Monday demanding Syria

cooperate with a U.N. probe into the death of former Lebanese

prime minister Rafik Hariri or face possible future actions.

The resolution was adopted 15-0 after principal drafters

the United States and France agreed to delete a specific

reference to economic sanctions and instead said the council

would consider possible unspecified further action if Syria did

not comply.
