Under every tuque there’s a yarmulke

Re my post yesterday on the great Canadian conspiracy underming American conservatism, the website Ethnic Ashkenazim Against Zionist Israel is having none of it. In fact, they seem to be in quite a snit about the Newark Star-Ledger’s “Blame Canada” theory:

At first I thought it was a joke, but Mulshine really seems to believe his thesis and even tells readers, “The Canadians are part of the British Empire…” in order to prove the insidiousness of Canadians…Let me give you a hint. Frum is a Yiddish word that means pious… Pick up a copy of The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy by Mearsheimer and Walt. It has some problems, but you have to start somewhere.

Frum, Krauthammer and I are just passing ourselves off as “Canadian”. Mulshine (nee Mulshein perchance?) is clearly in on the conspiracy. “British Empire” is merely the latest codespeak. Tony Blair’s conversion to Catholicism is an obvious feint designed to obscure the fact he was born Tony Blairstein.
