Under Two Dictators

Seven years ago I wrote an NRO column featuring Greta Buber’s book Under Two Dictators. Buber had the singular experience of surviving both Stalin’s and Hitler’s labor camps.

Now I see from the current Literary Review that Pimlico, a British publisher, has re-issued Buber’s book. As the reviewer, Nigel Jones, says: “required reading for any serious student of history and politics.”
