Over at Slate, Matthew Yglesias brings up an interesting fact about union voters: They aren’t as supportive of Obama as you might think. According to Pew, 57 percent of union household members plan to vote for the president. That’s nothing to shake a stick at, but it isn’t too impressive compared to other demographic groups; for instance, 64 percent of unmarried women and 93 percent of blacks support Obama. Yglesias, who plans to vote for the president, said this suggests those groups “regard the GOP as antithetical to their values and interests in a way that labor households don’t.”
