Unproductive Sick People Feel the Bern!

Well of course he did! Socialist presidential candidate Bernie Sanders endorsed legalizing assisted suicide for the entire nation.

Here’s the entire quote from the Hemlock Society Compassion and Choices press release:

“Well, I, you know, I am proud of how Vermont, uh, is a leader, frankly, in a number of areas, including end-of-life care. You know, this is, uh, a very emotional issue, obviously, and we have got to be extremely care, uh, careful about how those decisions are made.

Uh, and I know the concerns of people who oppose, uh, this. But you know, I think if a human being is in a situation where they are going to see their life end in a short period of time, where they are suffering, where they choose no longer to be alive. I think they have the right to make that decision, uh, for themselves.

And I think that’s true, not just in Vermont, obviously, but all across the country.”

Collectivists, particularly of the secular variety, almost always support culture of death agendas.

On assisted suicide, leftist support comes despite the implacable opposition of one if its constituency groups–the disability rights community. You see, they know they are the targets of the oh, so compassionate suicide promoters.

Beyond that, assisted suicide would seem essential for a socialized medical system of the kind Sanders proposes as a method of cost cutting.

The price of an assisted suicide is, maybe, $1000 including doctor’s visit. Truly compassionate care to overcome the desire to self terminate could cost ten times as much.

So Sanders’ unequivocal endorsement of suicide as an answer to human suffering doesn’t surprise me in the least. Let those unproductive sick people feel the Bern!

P.S. Hillary punted the same question. But she’ll be for it once she thinks it is politically safe.
