Here’s a note from a not-too-happy Pennsylvanian, concerning my post quoting an influential senator to the effect that Democrats have cut a deal with three Republicans:
Perhaps you could let your Republican contact know that here is one lifelong, supply-side Republican voter who will never, ever vote for anyone who supports this bill. Arlen Specter is my senator, and if he votes for this, I will vote against him until one of us dies. If that means I have to vote for a Democrat for the first time in my life, so be it. Might as well have the real thing.
