An e-mail in reponse to my piece today:
Ms. Lopez:
That ad is indeed outrageous, but it could backfire.
My wife (a Democrat, but I try not to hold that
against her) read about it in our local paper and said
it made her want to vote for the proposal. If she can
stay that outraged until Nov. 7, we may not cancel
each other’s vote this time around.
