The U.S. Sailor Shot by the Chattanooga Jihadist Has Died

The United States Navy has confirmed that Petty Officer 2nd Class Randall Smith, the sailor shot by Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez in the terrorist attack on American military facilities in Chattanooga earlier this week, has died. He had undergone multiple surgeries in the attempt to save his life.

Petty Officer Smith’s killing raises to five the death toll in the jihadist shooting spree. All were members of our armed forces. Four United States Marines – Gunnery Sergeant Thomas J. Sullivan, Lance Corporal Squire K. “Skip” Wells, Staff Sergeant David A. Wyatt, and Sergeant Carson A. Holmquist – were also murdered.
