U.S. to Sell Stake in Citigroup

The U.S. government is reportedly in preliminary talks to sell taxpayers’ 27 percent stake of Citigroup, Inc., a deal that would net roughly $8 billion in profit at today’s prices.

The major investment banks are vying to broker the deal, with some offering the government rock-bottom prices for its business.

Any chance that $8 billion will be distributed to taxpayers as dividends?
