Vampire Wars

Kathryn, that’s a good controversy you’ve got brewing on the meaning of our undead friends (at least as Bram Stoker described them), but it’s also an excellent excuse to mention the fact that 2009 marks the thirtieth anniversary of the greatest vampire film of them all: Herzog’s Nosferatu, a movie where the darkness is more of a Götterdämmerung than any simple Twilight, and which boasts an ending far grander than the usual stake, sharp sword, and sunshine.
