One reader celebrates the end of cursive tyranny:

Death of cursive? Thank God! Of all the injustices we left-handers must endure (don’t get me started on scissors), learning cursive in elementary school was perhaps the worst. We were treated like freaks — tilt your paper at a 45-degree angle to get the words to slant properly, smearing the lead with your hand, so on and so forth…

Good riddance to cursive — and in your face Mrs. Thiesing, wherever you are.
