VCU Health Fires Employee Following Social Media Posts Encouraging People to Stab ICE Agents with Syringes

Virginia Commonwealth University Health fired one of its employees after she posted egregious videos encouraging health-care workers to attack Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

The woman in question, who posted videos under the TikTok handle “Redheadredemption,” shared what she called “resistance tips” or “scare tactics” with her followers. These directives included filling syringes with liquids such as succinylcholine, an anesthetic that causes short-term muscle paralysis, and stabbing ICE agents.

After the videos went viral, VCU Health issued a statement saying the employee had been placed on administrative leave, then shortly thereafter announced that she was no longer employed by the health-care network.

“Following an investigation, the individual involved in the social media videos is no longer employed by VCU Health,” VCU Health said in a statement. “In addition, VCU Health has fulfilled its reporting requirements under Virginia state law.”
