Veeps

Yesterday I said that Gore and Cheney had raised the bar for veep picks. Andy McCarthy made a good point in response: that Gore and Cheney were necessary to fill gaps in their running mates’ resumes. McCain doesn’t have that weakness and could revert to the weak-vice-president model. I think that might well be correct, if not for McCain’s age.
