Reports from Iowa repeatedly tell us that this year
voters’ decisions are driven by their calculations about the relative
“electability” of the candidates, yet polls tell us that they are
foolishly looking right past Dick Gephardt. A useful reminder that
electability is in the eye of the beholder and once you like a candidate
you assume most other people will too.
