Hey Jonah,
I largely agree with your assessment of the show. I was really hoping they’d hold off on the sinister side of the Visitors for a few episodes at least. I thought it was rushed in the original mini-series, and the Pilot was even worse in that regard. As to the politics, yes the control of the message and universal health care stuff could easily apply to Obama, but there was also a reference to “unnecessary wars” as part of the grand plan of the V’s to take over. And I don’t see anyone worried about Bush conceivably being a V in this scenario. I’ll keep watching too, but I’m not entirely sure it will be worth it.
