Apparently (according to several readers) the Disney Company threw up a huge
smokescreen of misinformation about Walt’s origins and early life. Hence
all the confusion and gossip. People tell me this book is the most diligently researched. Its “unauthorized” status is a bonus, as
this means it was written without studio honchos looking over the author’s
shoulder and twisting the facts.
